The Great Western Arms is situated in the beautiful village of Blockley just outside the market town of Moreton-In-Marsh, Gloucestershire in the heart of England. Blockley is often described as the secret village of the Cotswolds and boasts a lot of historical heritage.

Up until only 15 years ago the village boasted shops, banks and
at one time there were a total of 7 pubs. Now only the Great Western and 2 Hotels remain. |

| The Great Western Arms is tenanted to Andy and Sharon Pearce through Hook Norton Brewery so you are always sure to find a pint of Hooky’s famous bitter on sale. Sharon, who is also the chef, regularly cooks with the bitter as she uses this for the batter of her Fresh Haddock and in her legendary Steak and Hooky Pies. (See Food page) |  |

The pub has 2 rooms one is used as a restaurant and the other houses a pool table, juke box and darts board. Dogs are welcome in the pool room, Sharon and Andy are both dog lovers so be warned that your dog will receive a fuss and a dog chew before you are served!! | |
| The Pub has recently been extensively refurbished and now boasts 1st class facilities and comforts. The spacious lounge bar/restuarant retains it's period 'feel' but has been re-furnished and decorated with great taste and care. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and friendly and the locals are all reknown for their friendliness and local knowledge. |  |

For those hot, balmy summer evenings we have a large patio area with five tables each seating upwards of four people. There is also an extensive barbeque area that is regularly pressed into service during special events like our annual beer festival and occasional charity events. |
